blonde DSH cat on shoulder of J9, green & black hair, pale skin, wearing a "NO JUSTICE NO PEACE, KNOW JUSTICE KNOW PEACE" mask
Hi! I’m J9! (The one in the mask, not the cute cat… his name is Vellum.)

J9 Vaughn (they/them) is a queer librarian and author who is a member of the HWA (Horror Writers Association), ALA (American Library Association), PLA (Public Library Association), and ILA (Illinois Library Association). J9 lives in a town with more dead than living with their bestie, a motley crew of rescued cats, and other housemates. Their nonfiction publications include My Swan Song for Joy: a Sister Memoir and Fools in April in the Chicago Story Press. They have fiction stories in the Fragile Anthology, Ludlow Charlington’s Doghouse Anthology, Whigmaleeries & Wives’ Tales, and the upcoming Writer’s Journey anthology, Awakenings.
